Dear HUMMER Owner,
TEXAS GULF COAST HUMMER OWNERS GROUP, a nonprofit organization aimed at getting HUMMER owners together for fun and comradery, is celebrating its second year. Our goal is to create an exciting HUMMER family to get together for offroad adventures, outings and just plain ole truck talk.
In our first year TGCHOG participated in off road adventures to General Sam’s in Huntsville, which caters most to the MUD enthusiast. We have also gone to Barnwell Mountain in Gilmer, Texas, 7 Canyons which offers beautiful surroundings as well as some challenging offroad experiences. Shiloh Ridge allowed us to play in the mud and sand. Barwell Mountain and Superlift ORV to play on the rocks and in the hills.
The club also participated in the national event this year, held at Katemcy Rocks in Mason Texas. This event found us climbing rocks and crossing challenging terrain. Many club members also participated in the Red Cross Enrollment for HOPE (Hummer Owners Prepared for Emergencies). It was a wonderful 4 day event where HUMMER owners from all over got together.
This year in addition to our offroading events, we hope to get involved in local community charities and take some trips where we can socialize and have fun. We plan to organize an offroad experience every other month.
